Michelle has over 30 years of experience within the insurance industry. Prior to opening her own Agency in 2001, Michelle was an Executive Vice President for both Andreini & Company and Bolton & Company, two large regional offices in Southern California. Michelle developed a niche insurance program in 1996 known as the United Messenger Courier Insurance Program. UMCIP is a national program designed to incorporate all lines of insurance for the Messenger Courier Industry. The program has been expanded to include Truckers and Freight Forwarders. In 2001 Lincoln General Insurance Company picked up the program and Michelle became the General Agent on a national basis. Michelle elected to focus her attention in the development of new adjuncts for the program, and bought the residual intellectual rights to what she developed. UMCIP is now a preferred national program in excess of $25,000,000 in premium and is serviced by the nine regional offices, but remains HQ in Westlake Village, California. Michelle attended UCLA - majored in Education. Michelle is married to Dean Mattoni, who is semi retired, but was previously President for Universal Mail Delivery Company, and prior to his work within the transportation industry was a Vice President for Zurich American Insurance Company. Michelle has two daughters, Monique is a graduate from Stanford Law School and Gina is a graduate from the Chicago Art Center. Michelle would like to contribute her abilities to ECA and would consider it an honor to serve as an ECA board member. |
